Foreign National & ITIN Loans
What is an ITIN loan and who qualifies in Washington?
An ITIN loan is a mortgage for borrowers who have an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number issued by the IRS but no Social Security number. ITIN loans in Washington serve immigrants who pay U.S. taxes but haven't established permanent residency. Qualification typically requires the ITIN, two years of tax returns filed with that ITIN, employment history, a down payment of 15–25%, and a demonstrable credit history (which may be built through alternative tradelines if a traditional credit report is thin). It's not a simple loan, but it exists.
