Self-Employed & No Tax Return Loans
Can I use a no-income-verification loan to buy a home in Washington?
True no-income-verification (no-doc) loans in the pre-2008 sense no longer exist. What does exist are reduced-documentation programs: bank statement loans (income calculated from deposits), asset-depletion loans (income calculated from qualifying assets), and DSCR loans (no personal income needed for investment property). Each requires different documentation and carries higher rates than fully documented loans. These programs are legitimate — they're just priced to reflect the lender's higher documentation risk.
