VA Loans for Washington Veterans
Can a Washington veteran use a VA loan to buy a multi-unit property?
Yes. VA loans can be used to purchase 2–4 unit properties as long as the veteran lives in one of the units as their primary residence. This is one of the most powerful wealth-building moves available to veterans — buy a duplex, triplex, or fourplex, live in one unit, and use rental income from the other units to offset the mortgage. VA loan terms, zero down, and no PMI make this a category-defining advantage over conventional investment financing.
